What to Expect at a Boudoir Photoshoot

Booking a boudoir photoshoot can be an intimidating thing.

Maybe it’s something you’ve never done before.

Maybe you’re wondering what to expect.

I can tell you a boudoir session with me is anything but intimidating!

We laugh a lot, it’s not so serious, and is totally laid back.

You will never hear me saying things like “give a sexy look”, “suck in your tummy”, or anything like that. (You would not believe some of the phrases people have told me that other boudoir photographers have said…)

We’re going for relaxed and comfortable and that’s what comes across as beautiful in your boudoir portraits.

You do not have to know how to pose!

What a relief, right!? I’m going to give you direction the entire time, so you won’t have to worry about anything.

And the posing and look of your photoshoot with be within YOUR comfort level, not anyone else’s.

That means that the posing, the set, the wardrobe will all be what’s in line with what you want. Your session will be custom tailored to you.

There is no standard of beauty - YOU are your own standard of beauty.

I take your comfort, safety and trust 100% seriously.

A boudoir session where the photographer doesn’t help with posing, says things that can be hurtful (even unintentionally), or lack a space that feels like you can relax are a formula to really do damage to self esteem.

Boudoir is not an experience to be taken lightly. Do your research and make sure your boudoir photographer has your best interest in mind, knows what they are doing and is a professional.

I’m here for any and all questions you may have! Seriously, there is no stupid question. There is no such thing as being afraid to ask. This is a judgment free zone and I am an open book. So this is your chance to ask or talk through any hesitations you may have.
